RCMP search for suspects involved in Digby area assault

RCMP in Digby are investigating an assault that occurred on a wharf in Weymouth North.

Mounties say they responeded to a report of an assault and a theft at a wharf in Weymouth North on Aug. 2, 2023.

There, officers learned that four people had stolen a lobster crate, filled with lobster, from a boat at the Weymouth North wharf.

When the four people were confronted by the property owner, they dumped the lobster back into the water and threw the empty crate at the owner, striking them on the arm.

The four people then fled the area in a boat.

Over the last three weeks, RCMP officers have been continuing with their investigation but have been unable to identify the individuals involved.
