Teen charged with manslaughter in death on Halifax boardwalk
A 17-year-old is facing manslaughter charges in connection to the death of a man on the waterfront earlier this month.
Davelle Rodney Vance Desmond died in hospital on Aug. 6 after what police called a “disturbance” on the boardwalk just before 10 p.m.
The medical examiner has confirmed Desmond’s death was a homicide.

Halifax police say the suspect turned himself in on Wednesday, and a manslaughter charge has been laid against the 17-year-old.
He’ll be in youth court Thursday.
