Macdonald Bridge shutting down this weekend
The Macdonald Bridge will be off-limits for the duration of Labour Day weekend, including Monday.
Halifax Harbour Bridges (HHB) says the cross-harbour span will shut down for paving from 7 p.m. tonight until 5:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
The pedestrian lane will also be closed for repairs so anyone walking will have to share the bike lane with cyclists.

HHB says they apologize for the inconvenience, noting that they understand the maintenance comes on an already busy weekend for Halifax.
