Price at the pumps goes up ahead of stormy weekend

By CityNews Halifax Staff

Ahead of this weekend’s arrival of Hurricane Lee in our region, the provincial regulator has pushed fuel prices upwards across the province.

In its weekly adjustment, the Nova Scotia Utility and Review Board raised the price for self-serve regular gasoline in the Halifax area by $3.9 cents to $188.3 cents per litre.

On the diesel side, the price jumped up to $211.3, which amounts to a price increase of $7.9 cents.

This time last year, we were paying $1.49 for gasoline, and $1.88 for diesel.
