Mooseheads top Drakkar 3-2 in OT, extend win streak

The Halifax Mooseheads edged out the Baie-Comeau Drakkar 3-2 in overtime (OT), extending their win streak to six straight.

The Mooseheads drew first blood as Lou Lévesque gave the Herd a 1-0 lead in the first period.

Reece Peitzsche made it 2-0 Halifax late in the second period but Justin Poirier answered back to bring the Drakkar within one.

Justin Gill managed to tie things up with seconds left in the third period to force overtime where Mooseheads’ rookie Liam Kilfoil netted the game winner to give Halifax the 3-2 victory.

The Mooseheads will make their way to Chicoutimi to take on the Saguenéens.
