Youth injured in Dartmouth stabbing, police say

Halifax Regional Police says a 14-year-old has been injured in an apparent stabbing in Dartmouth on Tuesday.

The police agency said officers were called to reports of an injured person on Lucien Dr. at about 3:05 p.m.

Those officers found the 14-year-old, whose injuries are not believed to be life-threatening, police said.

In an update just before 4 p.m., police said a suspect had been arrested.

It’s not believed this was a random incident, and police said the investigation was ongoing.
