Man dead after vehicle crash in Lunenburg County

A crash in Lunenburg County has claimed the life of a 36-year-old man.

Lunenburg District RCMP say the incident occurred on Hwy. 10 in Pinehurst at approximately 12:45 a.m.

Emergency services responded to a report of a single vehicle crash where RCMP officers learned that a pickup truck had been travelling on Hwy. 10 when it left the road and came to rest in a ditch.

The driver, and lone occupant, an Indian Path man, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

An RCMP collision reconstructionist attended the scene and the investigation is ongoing.

Hwy. 10 was closed for several hours but has since reopened.
