Municipality officially launches ‘HFXGO’ transit app

HRM has officially taken the wraps off of its brand new app that’s aimed at making it easier to use Halifax rtansit.

The app ‘HFXGO’ has been launched, and it’s now available for download on iPhone and Android.

The system will allow you to buy a ticket or pass on your phone, activate it, and then you just show it to the bus driver or ferry staff.

The city says the poject will have two phases; first the app’s release today, and phase two will eventually see onboard validators installed on transit.
