Mahone Bay crash sends one to hospital with serious injuries

RCMP in Lunenburg is investigating after a single-vehicle crash on Hwy 3 on Thursday sent a man to hospital.

Officers responded to a call in Mahone Bay around 12:30 p.m. after a report of a pickup truck had collided with a guard rail.  The initial investigation revealed that the pickup left the roadway, hit the guardrail and came to rest in the roadway.

A 57-year-old Chester Basin man, who was alone in the pickup at the time of the crash, suffered serious injuries in the crash and was taken from the scene to hospital via LifeFlight.
