RCMP say a pedestrian dead after crash in Antigonish

RCMP in Antigonish say a pedestrian is dead after being hit by a vehicle.

According to Mounties, the incident occurred yesterday just before 6 p.m. on James Street.

The 83-year-old pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries and died at hospital as a result of his injuries.

The 67-year-old Antigonish man who was driving the vehicle was not hurt.

An RCMP collision reconstructionist attended the scene and the investigation is ongoing.
