Police investigate theft of firearm in Halifax

Regional police are investigating a break and enter where a firearm was stolen earlier this month.

Police say on Nov. 16, officers received a report of a break and enter at an apartment building in the 6100 block of Young Street in Halifax where a firearm and ammunition were stolen from a storage room in the building.

According to HRP, it is believed the theft took place the evening of Nov. 14.

Police are looking for a suspect described as a white man in his 20s to 30s, approximately 5’9″ tall with a medium build.

The suspect was wearing a black and grey plaid jacket, a grey hooded sweatshirt, a grey toque and black pants.

Anyone with information or video from the area is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
