Regional police investigate human remains found in Halifax

Regional police are investigating after human remains were found in Halifax on Tuesday.

At roughly 3 p.m., police say they received a report of what was believed to be human remains in a wooded area near the 2200 block of Purcells Cove Road.

The Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service later confirmed they were human remains which have not been positively identified as of yet.

Police say there is little information at this time as the investigation is in its early stages.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
