Mooseheads announce inaugural Toque Toss in support of homeless shelters

The Halifax Mooseheads are putting a spin on a popular way to support charities at hockey games.

Instead of a Teddy Bear Toss, the Mooseheads have announced Friday night’s home game will see the team’s inaugural Toque Toss.

Fans are asked to bring a new toque, socks or gloves to the game. When the Mooseheads score their first goal, people can throw the apparel onto the ice surface.

All the goods will be donated to local homeless shelters, the team said.

Friday’s game will see Gatineau come to Moose Country. Puck drop is at 7 p.m.
