N.S. police watchdog clears officers of wrongdoing in fatal shooting

Nova Scotia’s police watchdog has cleared two officers of wrongdoing in the fatal shooting of a man in Dartmouth earlier this year.
The Serious Incident Response Team was looking into the case from May, which saw a man point a loaded bow and arrow at officers at Maybank Park.
Interim director Erin Nauss said the man refused to drop his weapon, and the officers defended themselves, each shooting the man once, killing him.
