Big drop in gas and diesel prices across Nova Scotia

Drivers woke up on Friday morning to significant drops in both gasoline and diesel prices in Nova Scotia.

The province’s Utilities and Review Board used its weekly adjustment to lower the price for self-serve regular gasoline by 6.4 cents at midnight to a new minimum price of $153.9.

Friday’s news was even better for those needing diesel—the price for fuel retreating by 8.5 cents to a minimum price of $189.5.

At this time last year, gasoline was selling for $1.50, and diesel sold at a whopping $2.42.
