Halifax New Year’s Eve celebration to take place at Emera Oval

Halifax’s New Year’s Eve celebrations are moving to the Emera Oval.

HRM said the concert and national broadcast will take place at the outdoor rink at the Halifax Common.

Music Nova Scotia 2023 Entertainer of the Year winner Rankin MacInnis will headline the main stage along with a host of other artists.

Celebrations will wrap up with a fireworks show and DJ.

The celebration has traditionally been held at Grand Parade in the downtown area, but it is currently the site of a homeless encampment.
