Halifax Mooseheads make history with 1000 wins

It was a nail-biting game that resulted in their 1000th win in franchise history.

The Mooseheads are back on track after their disappointing loss to the Titan on Wednesday with an overtime win against the Saint John Sea Dogs 5-4 on Friday night.

The first star of the game, Mathieu Cataford scored a hat trick; he scored twice in the first period and once during the end of the third. Brady Schultz and Markus Vidicek assisted with the two first period goals and David Moravec assisted the hat trick goal.

Ethan Larmand scored his first goal of the season with the herd in the second and assisted with the winning goal that was scored by Brady Schultz.

The gloves came off in the third period and fans witnessed the first fight of the year between Liam Welsh and Jacob Beaulieu, both players received a game misconduct.

The Mooseheads hope to make it two in a row on Saturday with a rematch against the Sea Dogs.
