A messy few days are ahead for the Halifax Regional Municipality and most of the Atlantic Coast of Nova Scotia.
Environment Canada issued a Snowfall warning for the region, warning of upwards of 15 cm of snow and strong winds beginning Sunday night and carrying through most of the day on Monday.
In southwestern areas of the province, snow will mix with rain. In HRM, the precipitation will fall as snow, and winds gusting to 40-60 km/h or even higher visibility could be reduced.
The national forecaster says this storm will impact the Monday morning commute in urban areas as highways, roads, walkways, and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow.
The weather will improve as we move through the evening and overnight hours on Monday with a mix of sun and cloud forecast for much of the day on Tuesday.
