Police have arrested and charged a man after he allegedly tried to shoot a man and a woman who were dropping off food at a home on Torbrook Road in Annapolis County.
RCMP officers said they responded to a firearms complaint around 9:50 a.m. on Saturday.
Police said they learned that a man and a woman had come by the home to drop off food when they were shot at by a man with a shotgun.
Neither were injured.
Police arrested two men at the scene less than two hours later but later released one without charges. They later returned to the home with a search warrant and said they found a shotgun, ammunition and powder they believe is cocaine.
Cody Reid Palmer, 27, faces nearly a dozen charges including discharging a firearm with intent, careless use of a firearm, pointing a firearm and unauthorized possession of a firearm.
Palmer is being held in custody and will appear in Digby Provincial on February 12.
Police said the investigation is ongoing.
