Halifax police investigate robbery in the north end

Halifax Regional Police is investigating after an alleged robbery in the north end on Friday night.

According to police, at about 9:40 p.m. in the area of Duffus St. and Novalea Dr. a man on a Halifax Transit bus was approached by two youths, one of which allegedly produced a knife as they demanded the man hand over his property.

The victim fled the bus and was chased for a short time before the youths took off empty handed, HRP said.

One of the suspects is described as a black male in his teens, about 5’7″ with a slender build wearing a white hoodie, black pants and a bandana. The second suspect is described as a black male in his teens, about 5’5″ with curly hair, wearing a blue hoodie and red pants.

Anyone with information or video from the area is asked to get in touch with police or Crime Stoppers.
