Halifax’s premiere venue for live theatre announced the lineup for its 62nd season today.
The theme for the upcoming season at Neptune Theatre will be “Experience the Extraordinary” and Jeremy Webb intends to deliver just that.
The artistic director has lined up no less than 11 productions, including a big holiday musical version of Disney’s Frozen.
While fans of the Disney hit will have to wait until next November, there are other highlights including The New Canadian Curling Club, a co-production with Festival Antigonish.
“I watched the audience in Antigonish laugh their heads off, but then also understand a little bit more about what it’s like to be a newcomer in Canada and all the challenges they have to face,” Webb tiold CityNews Halifax. “Mark Crawford has written a great comedy.”
With four musicals, four comedies, four dramas and one world premiere for a total 330 performances, there are sure to be a ton of other surprises.
Ticket packages are now available at Neptune’s website.
