Halifax police charge 5 people with firearms offences

Regional police have charged five people with firearms offences in connection to an incident in Dartmouth earlier this week.

On Tuesday night, officers responded to a weapons call in the area of Albro Lake Road where police entered a home and arrested five people.

Police say they seized two firearms, two replica firearms and ammunition.

Larson Munongo, 24, was scheduled to appear in Dartmouth provincial court on Thursday to face a slew of charges including possession of a firearm without a license, unauthorized possession of firearm and possessing weapon dangerous to public peace, among others.

Meantime, two men, ages 22 and 28, and two women, ages 22 and 23, are also scheduled to appear in Dartmouth provincial court at a later date to face charges of possession of a firearm without a license, unauthorized possession of a firearm and unsafe storage of a firearm.
