Three people charged following shoplifting incident in Windsor

West Hants RCMP have charged three people with multiple offences following a shoplifting incident in Windsor.

Mounties say on Feb. 7, officers responded to a shoplifting complaint at a business on Cole Drive.

According to RCMP, they quickly found the suspect vehicle and arrested its three occupants during a traffic stop.

Officers learned that the vehicle had been reported stolen and one of the people was wanted on a province-wide arrest warrant.

Police say the vehicle was also involved in a gas theft earlier that day, adding during their search, they seized 10 bottles of vodka.

Andrew Bowie, 39, of Falmouth, Muriel Polley, 34, of Halifax, and William Walsh, 51, have been all been charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5000.00 and possession of property obtained by crime equal or under $5000.00.

Bowie has also been charged with two counts of theft and failure to comply with a probation order.

All three accused were later released on conditions and will appear in Windsor Provincial Court in April.
