By CityNews Halifax Staff

A man has been charged with sexual assault following an incident in Lawrencetown last September.

Police say on Sept. 11, Mounties received a complaint of sexual assault as officers learned a man was using Facebook Dating to communicate with a woman who agreed to meet with him at a restaurant on Forest Hills Parkway in Cole Harbour.

RCMP say the the woman later entered the man’s Dodge Ram and was driven to a location in Lawrencetown, where the man allegedly sexually assaulted her.

Last Friday, 46-year-old Manjeet Singh Pandher, from Bedford, came into the RCMP/HRP Integrated Criminal Investigation Division office, at the investigator’s request, where he was safely arrested.

Police say Pandher has been charged with sexual assault and has been released on conditions.

He is scheduled to appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court in April.

Police also believe there are other victims in HRM and are asking people to contact them or Crime Stoppers if you or someone you know may be a victim.
