HRFE respond to early morning Hammonds Plains house fire

An investigation is underway after a house fire in Hammonds Plains early Thursday morning.

Halifax Fire and Rescue crews were called to the scene on Bonn Dr. at 5:12 a.m. to find a house fully engulfed by flames.

Eleven units were fighting the fire, with crews taking a defensive stand, battling the flames from outside the house.

HRFE reported no injuries.

Fire investigators are on the scene to determine what caused the fire.
