Windsor community hospital emergency department closed Saturday

Nova Scotia health says that the Hants Community Hospital’s emergency department in Windsor, N.S. will be temporality closed on Saturday.

Health officials say the department will be re-opened at 6 p.m.

Despite this, anyone in the area with urgent medical needs are still encouraged to call 911. For general health advice and information, you can call 811 which is a 24 hour a day service covered by experienced registered nurses.

The Mental Health and Addictions Crisis Line can also be reached by calling 1-888-429-8167. Mental health tools and resources are available online.
