Halifax police investigate shots fired in city’s west end

Regional police were on the scene of a shooting in Halifax on Monday.

At roughly 11:30 a.m., officers responded to shots fired in the area of Connaught Avenue near Roslyn Road.

Police said they found evidence of gunfire in the area and there have been no reported injuries at this time.

As of 3 p.m., Connaught Ave. northbound between Bayers Rd. and Edgewood Ave. was reopened to traffic.

The investigation is in the early stages and HRP said the public can expect to see a police presence in the area as the investigation continues.
