Carbon tax protest causes delays at NS border Monday

Anti-carbon tax protesters caused delays today at the Nova Scotia-New Brunswick border.

Hundreds of cars and trucks lined either side of the highway early this morning before the RCMP eventually closed it at around 10 a-m.

Traffic was then diverted to a secondary road before the Trans-Canada was eventually reopened.

This comes as the national consumer carbon tax increase went up today, which most Canadians will see reflected in their energy bills and at the gas pumps.
