Man charged after car stolen from Dartmouth parking lot at knifepoint

Halifax Regional Police have charged a man armed with a knife who stole a car from a Dartmouth parking lot.

officers were called to the lot on Yorkshire Ave around 5:40 p.m. after a report that a man, armed with a knife, threatened a woman, took her keys and then left in her vehicle,

police found the stolen vehicle shortly later on Catherine St and took a suspect into custody without incident.

Sean David Ouellet was scheduled to appear in court on Friday on several charges:

• Uttering threats
• Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000
• Robbery with an offensive weapon
• Mischief (property damage)
• Possession of a weapon dangerous to public peace

No injuries were reported.
