Nova Scotia company named one of Canada’s Greenest Employers…again

By CityNews Halifax Staff

For the eleventh year in a row, one of Canada’s greenest employers is based right here in Nova Scotia.

According to EfficiencyOne, the company has achieved more than $4 billion in energy savings and greenhouse gas emission reductions since 2011.

That is why it has been listed again as one of Canada’s Greenest Employers, an editorial competition organized by Canada’s Top 100 Employers Project.

For 17 years, that project has recognized businesses that have created a culture of environmental awareness in their organizations.

EfficiencyOne operating as Efficiency Nova Scotia in the province, has helped people use less energy for 13 years, through efficiency projects like The Oil to Heat Pump Affordability Program and SolarHomes Program.

President Stephen Macdonald said in a release, the award is a testament to the work EfficiencyOne has done to create a culture passionate about climate action.
