Youth charged with attempted murder following stabbing in Prospect Bay

Nova Scotia RCMP has charged a youth with attempted murder after a weekend stabbing in Prospect Bay.

Mounties said officers from the Halifax detachment were called to the stabbing on Prospect Bay Road just after 9 a.m. on Sunday.

Police said the 42-year-old victim was allegedly stabbed multiple times after getting into an argument with a youth known to him.

The victim is expected to recover, and the suspect was arrested at the scene.

The youth has been charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault and more.

He was scheduled to appear in youth court in Halifax on Monday.
