Residents evacuated after early morning fire near Hemlock Ravine Park
Halifax Fire and Rescue Crews were on the scene of an early morning fire near Hemlock Revine Park this morning.
Fire crews and Halifax Regional Police were called to the scene around 3:30 a.m. after reports of a structural fire on Lodge Drive.
HRFE deputy chief Dave Meldrum says crews encountered heavy fire conditions when they arrived adding that after they knocked down the flames, their searches did not find anyone inside.

All occupants are accounted for and one person was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation.
Halifax Transit was also on the scene, and witnesses said that about 20 people took shelter in a bus while crews fought the fire.
