Halifax police charge driver going 88 km/h over speed limit

Regional police have charged a driver for stunting in Dartmouth on Tuesday.
At roughly 9 a.m., officers caught a vehicle driving 148 km/h in a 60 km/h zone on Highway 111 near Woodland Avenue.
Police said a 21-year-old man was ticketed for stunting under the Motor Vehicle Act which comes with a fine of $2,422.50 and six points assigned to the driver’s record.
In addition, the driver was suspended for seven days, and the vehicle was seized.
