Halifax RCMP evacuated Fall River neighbourhood after false alarm

Halifax Regional RCMP Detachment says that the “unspecified threat” in Fall River on Sunday morning wasn’t anything to worry about.

RCMP officers were at the 100 block of Canterbury Lane “responding to a threat at a residence”. At that time there was no one inside the home.

RCMP officers evacuated the immediate neighbours as a precaution and closed off Canterbury Lane.

After an investigation, they determined there was no threat to the public.

As of early Sunday afternoon, all residents were allowed back into their homes and the road was reopened.
