Aylesford cyclist in hospital with life-threatening injuries

Kings District RCMP say they are investigating a collision that happened in Berwick West, N.S. early Friday morning that left a cyclist with life-threatening injuries.
Emergency crews were on site near the 3900 block on Highway 1 shortly after midnight.
RCMP officers say a Mazda 3 was travelling west on the highway when it collided with a cyclist who was riding on the highway.
Police say the cyclist, a 20-year-old Aylesford man, suffered life threatening injuries.
He was transported to hospital by EHS.
The driver of the Mazda 3, a 38-year-old Aylesford woman, was not injured.
Highway 1 was closed for several hours on Friday but has since reopened.
