Police said the victim was identified as 56-year-old Ronald Edward Howell.

On Wednesday morning, police arrested 47-year-old Michael Anders McKinney in Dartmouth.

He was scheduled to appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court on Wednesday to face a charge of manslaughter.
