Lunenburg RCMP investigates ATV crash that claimed infant’s life

Lunenburg RCMP is investigating a fatal ATV crash that claimed the life of an infant.

On Monday evening, Mounties responded to a report of a side-by-side crash on a logging road near Forties Road where an ATV was travelling on the gravel roadway when it rolled coming to rest on its roof. 

Police said there were four occupants, including an infant from Forties who suffered life-threatening injuries. She was transported to hospital where she died.

A 27-year-old female driver from Forties and a 52-year-old male passenger from New Ross, suffered serious injuries and were transported to hospital by EHS while a child from Forties, suffered minor injuries. He was transported to hospital by EHS.

Mounties said the investigation is ongoing.
