The Halifax Independent Film Fest kicks off for its 18th year

The 18th annual Halifax Independent Film Festival begins today.

Run by the non-profit organization Atlantic Filmmakers Cooperative, the festival is dedicated to showcasing our region’s most innovative filmmakers and media artists.

Film fans can catch all 12 film programs with a festival pass for $45 or single films can be seen for $15 each.

The Halifax International Film Fest runs through Saturday with all screenings at the Bus Stop Theatre.
