Cole Harbour man charged with murder after reporting himself to police

A 76-year-old man from Cole Harbour has been charged with murder.
The RCMP said the man called into the Halifax detachment just after 4 p.m. on Sunday afternoon and told police he had murdered a woman in his home.
Officers responded to a house on Agincourt Crescent, surrounded the residence, and eventually arrested the man.
Police say a 74-year-old woman was found dead inside the home.
Edmund Joseph Organ has been charged with murder and is being held in custody for a court appearance on Monday.
