Hwy. 103 reopens after work on telecommunications lines

Highway 103 has reopened as work continues to get the internet working again for some people in the Halifax area.

A stretch of the highway was closed for a few hours Friday afternoon after Eastlink said road work damaged its lines.

The company says in an update that some people are now back online, but repair work continues.

It’s hoping to have everyone reconnected by Friday night.

Western Halifax and St. Margaret’s Bay were the areas said to be mainly impacted by the service outage.
