Halifax police look for teen wanted for alleged stabbing

Halifax Regional Police are searching for a suspect for an alleged stabbing that occurred on Tuesday in Dartmouth.

Police say around 8 p.m., officers were called to the 0-100 block of Alderney Drive.

There, police located a man who had been stabbed after a group of youths walking in the area approached the victim.

Police say one of the youths cut a man with a knife before the group took off on foot.

The victim was transported to hospital with what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect with the knife is described as a white female, 15 to 17 years-old with blonde hair, wearing black tights and a black shirt.

The investigation is in the early stages and anyone with information or video from the area is asked to call police at 902-490-5020.
