Lunenburg District RCMP say they have released a man who was the subject of an emergency alert Wednesday morning.
Mounties said just after 7:30 a.m., they received multiple calls about a man with a firearm on Barss Corner Road in Parkdale.
An emergency alert was issued as a result and a 48-year-old man from Parkdale was arrested.

But after an investigation and a search of the man’s property, police said no firearm was involved and the man was holding a large gardening tool, which was mistaken for a gun.
He was released without charges.
