Mackinnon wins Hart, Lindsay trophies at NHL awards

Two huge honors for Cole Harbour’s Nathan Mackinnon.

The superstar Colorado Avalanche forward was awarded the Hart Trophy as league MVP at the NHL awards ceremony in Las Vegas Thursday night.

Mackinnon was also awarded the Ted Lindsay award, for the most outstanding player as voted by members of the national hockey league players association(NHLPA).

The former Halifax Moosehead had an outstanding year for the Avalanche, amassing 140 points this past season.
