Man faces firearms charges after altercation in Cole Harbour

Halifax RCMP charged a man with firearms offences following an altercation in Cole Harbour.
Mounties said on Wednesday evening, officers responded to a report of an altercation between two drivers on Highway 7 where a man, who was driving a black Cadillac, pointed a firearm at the other driver.
Police said the driver of the Cadillac was identified a short time later and officers executed a search warrant at a home on Karen Drive in Westphal.
Police arrested the man and in the process, seized three replica handguns, holsters, and prohibited weapons such as brass knuckles and knifes.
Matthew Steven Jennett, 28, of Westphal, has been charged with utter threats, using imitation firearm in the commission of offence and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
He was held in custody and was scheduled to appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court on Thursday.
