Halifax police investigate weapons incident in Bedford

Regional police are investigating a weapons-related incident in Bedford on Thursday.

At roughly 6 p.m., police received a report of a disturbance at a business in the 700 block of the Bedford Highway where three people entered but were refused service because they didn’t show their IDs.

Police said the suspects left but came back as two of them approached an employee, showing what was believed to be a firearm and made threats. No one was injured.

The suspect who had the firearm is described as a man in his late teens to early 20s, with a slim build, short dark hair and was clean shaven. He was wearing a white t-shirt, dark jeans with a belt, white sneakers and a kit bag slung over his left shoulder.

The second suspect is described as a man in his late teens to early 20s, with a slim build, approximately 5’10” tall, with short dark hair and facial hair. He was wearing a white t-shirt, a light-coloured hat, blue jeans, sneakers, multiple chains around his neck and a cast on his left arm.

The third suspect is described as a white woman, with dark coloured shoulder length hair. She was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt with a logo on the front, black spandex pants, sandals and a bright coloured baseball hat.

According to Halifax Regional Police, the suspect vehicle is a white four-door BMW car with a sunroof, silver rims and red interior seats.
