Several transit routes undergo changes starting this week
Beginning today, there will be some changes to some bus routes and schedules in the Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM).
According to Halifax Transit, Route 26 will alter its schedule to better align with dismissal times at St. Agnes Junior High School while Route 57 is going to suspend service due to low ridership.
Route 90 will increase its service, operating every 15 minutes on weekdays during peak traffic times.

In terms of schedule adjustments, Routes 21, 56, 72 and 401 will see slight adjustments to improve reliability, according to HRM.
Detours related to the Cogswell District Project will be reflected in the route maps and schedules.
As of September 1, single-ride fares will go up by 25 cents to $3 for an adult.
The increase brings Halifax in line with cities like Moncton and Fredericton, while remaining lower than urban centres like Quebec City.
