Two more people charged in murder of 16-year-old Ahmad Maher Al Marrach

Halifax Regional Police have charged two more people in connection to the murder of a 16-year-old youth back in April.

Ahmad Maher Al Marrach died in hospital on April 22 after he was found injured in a parkade at the Halifax Shopping Centre.

Earlier this year, two 16-year-old youths and two 14-year-old youths were charged with one count each of second-degree murder, as a result.

Then on Wednesday, officers arrested two people after they provided false information to investigators and allegedly helped the accused in avoiding arrest in Al Marrach’s death.

A 31-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman were scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court on Thursday to face one count each of accessory to commit an indictable offence.

The investigation is ongoing, and investigators are asking anyone who has information in relation to Ahmad’s homicide to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
