The RCMP is asking for help in finding what they’re calling a “suspicious” disappearance in Annapolis Valley.

The Mounties say Esther Jones was last seen on August 31 in Kingston and reported missing two days later.

A silver 2009 Volkswagen Passat owned by Jones was found abandoned in Greenwood on September 4.

Officers are calling the 55-year-old’s disappearance suspicious and are now asking for information that may help locate Jones.

She is described as 5’4″ tall with a slim build and dirty blond-brown, greying shoulder-length hair and hazel eyes.

Jones may have been wearing a black t-shirt with ties on the shoulders, a black and floral below-knee-length skirt and sunglasses.

The Southwest Nova Major Crime Unit is asking anyone who has information in relation to the disappearance of Esther Jones to contact them at 902-825-2000.

Should you wish to remain anonymous, call Nova Scotia Crime Stoppers, toll-free, at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), submit a secure web tip at www.crimestoppers.ns.ca, or use the P3 Tips App.
