Halifax Regional Police (HRP) are asking for the public’s help to find a person of interest in a homicide investigation after human remains were recovered.
On Oct. 10 around 9:40 a.m., officers responded to a well-being check at Quingate Place where they found a dead woman.
The Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service has ruled the death a homicide, according to officials.

The investigation is in its early stages but HRP does not believe this was a random incident and are asking for the public’s help finding 41-year-old Jonathan William Pinsky.
According to police, he is a person of interest in this investigation.
Pinsky is described as 5’2″ tall and approximately 100 pounds. He may be wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, cargo pants and a backpack. If he is seen, police say to not approach him and call 9-1-1.
Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact HRP or Crime Stoppers.
