Falcons’ win over Panthers a popular one with Proline players

Bijan Robinson brought a smile to the faces of many Proline bettors Sunday.

Robinson ran for 95 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Atlanta Falcons past the Carolina Panthers 38-20. According to the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corp., 88 per cent of players backed the win while 83 per cent took the Falcons at -5.5.

The Houston Texans’ 41-21 victory over the New England Patriots was also a popular one, with 87 per cent of bettors selecting the Texans. And 83 per cent correctly picked the Pittsburgh Steelers’ 32-13 win over the Las Vegas Raiders.

Another 82 per cent correctly took the Philadelphia Eagles to beat the Cleveland Browns, which they did 20-16. However, 49 per cent of players backed the Los Angeles Chargers in their 23-16 win over the Denver Broncos.

On Sunday night, the Cincinnati Bengals defeated the New York Giants 17-7 with 75 per cent of bettors backing the Bengals. Seventy-two per cent selected Cincinnati at -3.5.

However, just one per cent had quarterback Joe Burrow as Cincinnati’s first touchdown scorer. Nine per cent had Canadian running back Chase Brown as an anytime scorer while 21 per cent had New York’s lone TD scorer Tyrone Taylor.

The Buffalo Bills defeated the New York Jets 23-20 on Monday night. Sixty-three per cent of players backed the Bills, with 79 per cent taking them at -2.5.

Seventeen per cent of bettors had quarterback Josh Allen as the first TD scorer with another 37 per cent having him as Buffalo’s anytime touchdown scorer. Forty-nine per cent had Allen Lazard as an anytime TD scorer for the Jets while 13 per cent took Garrett Wilson.

On Sunday night, the National League championship series opened with the Los Angeles Dodgers defeating the New York Mets 9-0. Sixty per cent for bettors successfully backed L.A. while 66 per cent had the club at -1.5.

New York earned a 7-3 win in the second game of the series Monday night, with 42 per cent backing the Mets while 49 per cent had the over 8.5.

The New York Yankees opened the American League championship series with a 5-2 victory over the Cleveland Guardians. Seventy-two per cent of bettors backed New York with 77 per cent taking the Yankees at -1.5.

On Saturday night, the Toronto Maple Leafs defeated the Pittsburgh Penguins 4-2 with 82 per cent of bettors backing Toronto’s win while 86 per cent took the Leafs at -1.5.

Also, the Montreal Canadiens defeated the Ottawa Senators 4-1 with only 36 per cent of bettors backing the Habs.

A Proline retail player won $1,057 on a $1 bet on a two-leg soccer parlay, picking the correct scoreline for CE El Palo/Martos CD as well as SRD Vimenor CF/CD Bezana.

A digital bettor won $276.21 from a $1 wager on a four-leg soccer parlay. The player correctly picked ties for games between Switzerland/Finland, Ireland/Norway, Hungary/Netherlands and Slovakia/Sweden
